133 1970 The Museum of Contemporary Crafts (now the Museum of Arts and Design) in New York City features a solo exhibition of Amaral’s work titled Woven Walls after her series of the same name. The exhibit is held in the Members’ Gallery/Second Floor Gallery and runs from September 30, 1970, through January 3, 1971. Muro tejido cuadriculado (Woven Gridded Wall) (1970) is published in the accompanying catalogue as Woven Wall #9—Diagonal Squares . 1970 The Amaral family initially moves to Barcelona, Spain, before relocating to Paris, France, where they remain until June 1971. 1972 The Museo de Arte Moderno in Bogotá holds a solo exhibition of Amaral’s work titled Muros tejidos y armaduras , including many large-scale pieces from her Muros tejidos (Woven Walls) series (fig. 7).
